A Special Mother's Day Tribute Post
I never really know what to do or say when it comes to honoring my wife. I feel as if all my efforts will fall short of the reality of how wonderful she truly is. I have never met a woman who is a better match for me. She compliments my strengths, graciously loves me through my weaknesses, and challenges me to be a better man, husband, and father. She far exceeds any hopes or dreams I had for a wife.
And as far as her accolades a mother go, I really don't know where to start. She has set herself aside, and sacrificially loved her daughter from before she even born. She considers only what is best for her children, regardless of the pain, or struggle or, cost to herself. Her time and her energy is for her family and their well-being. Any time she has ever taken for herself has been intentionally spent recharging so that she can come back and be a better mother and wife. She spends hours and hours toiling over what is best for her family to eat, and to wear, and to all the smallest details I would never even consider all...but that matter so much. She is selfless to the core in a way I have never seen in anyone else, and in a way in which I aspire to be (but fear I will never obtain).
So, since a picture is worth a thousand words, I will stop talking and start showing...
These are from a Mother/Daughter photoshoot we did when Selah turned 1. They are some of my favorite pictures I have ever taken (the one immediately below being my personal favorite - and the one below that, Hailey's favorite). They show the love and beauty that my special girls share...and I love them more than words can say!
Happy Mother's Day!
Who is a better mom than this woman?
You've got me?!?
